MDH, Sambhar Masala, spice mixture.
MDH Sambhar Masala is a particularly tasty spicy mix of spices for a traditional Indian lentil soup, made from various exotic spices. MDH guarantees you the highest quality and an incomparable taste experience.
Ingredients: coriander, lentil flour, turmeric, cumin, fenugreek seeds, chilli, salt, black pepper, mustard seeds, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, cardamom, mace blossom, caraway, asante.
Spice mix for Indian lentil soup: Wash vegetables such as aubergines, okra pods, potatoes, peas and cauliflower and cut into pieces. Boil 200g Toor Dal (Toor lentils) in 800ml water for approx. 30 minutes. Soak the tamarind in 100ml water for half an hour, squeeze it and add the resulting juice to the Toor-Dal. In another saucepan, fry 100g of coarsely chopped red onions and 100g of chopped tomatoes. Add the vegetables, 20g MDH Sambar Masala and a little salt and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then add the Toor-Dal with the water to the vegetables and cook for about 20 minutes.
