Once an Indian, a German and an American walked into a bar. :)
Or connected over an overwhelming idea that why is e-commerce broken? Why are local shops closing down, while online commerce booms, with high volumes, high emissions and high packaging waste!
We are trying to build a company with a heart. What we tell our employees and ourselves:
TAKE TIME TO BE KIND.
This shows in the way we treat our shops. Charging them as low commisions as we can, making sure they always know a name and a phone number with the company they are dealing with, waiting an extra 5 minutes to help them put an order online.
We also show that with our service to our customers. If you are not answering your door, we want to call you to make sure you don't miss your delivery. Or ask you which neighbour you'd prefer us to give the packet to. It also means we try our best to accomodate your smallest request or delivering with a smile.
Kindness needs to also find it's way inside the company. Whether that is to celebrate each small or big success with the whole team, to clear and respectful communications, flexible arrangements to individual personal situations, to creating an inclusive culture. Today, March 2021, we are a team of 8 people from 5 different countries, 5 of us being women. Our job ads also go to agencies with people from disadvantaged backgrounds (such as refugees, homeless, uneducated, physically differently abled), because everyone has a right to earn fair wages.
And last but definitely not the least, we take the time to be kind to our planet.
Choosing green e-cargo bikes, using paper bags, discouraging plastic bags, promoting sustainable businesses, partnering with unverpackt stores is just few ways in which we want to make your online purchases responsible and consciously planned.
So this is the story of Fyppit.
Because there is no Planet B.
Because future is circular.
Because e-commerce can be better.
Because kindness is everything.
